San Fernando Cebu Young Leaders Ready to Drive Positive Change

Forty-seven student leaders of San Fernando, Cebu, completed the RAFI Center for Leaders’ (CFL) offsite iRipple course, last February 22-23, 2023, held at San Fernando Central School.
Among those that took part were San Fernando, Catalina Lapus-Omega, Balud, Magsico, Sangat, Pitalo, South Poblacion National High Schools, and Panadtaran Integrated School. As part of the course, each school developed proposed change projects, which were then presented by representatives at the end of the session.

Several of the change projects presented aim to help their fellow students in improving their reading skills, subject comprehension, raising awareness about smoking and alcohol addiction, and caring for their well-being.

“My highlights from the session were improving our skills, knowing our strengths, and being better leaders to bring about change for the well-being of our community. We really learned a lot,” shared one of the participants.

iRipple is a 2-day project management course of the RAFI CFL under its Youth Development Program (YDP). It aims to empower leaders by providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to create and implement “change projects” in their schools and communities.

The RAFI Center for Leaders provides learning and development programs that equip leaders and enable communities through world-class, safe, powerful learning experiences. The RAFI CFL headquarters are located in the scenic mountains of Balamban, Cebu at the Kool Adventure Camp, the country’s first and fully-dedicated adventure education facility.
