Two hundred (200) students from Grades 7-12 of Liberation Institute Inc., in Calamba, Misamis Oriental, underwent RAFI Center for Leaders (CFL) Virtual Learning Session (VLS) titled “Youth Leading in Uncertain Times” last January 25, 2023.

The students were divided into two batches, each with 100 participants scheduled in the morning and afternoon respectively. The school experienced a brief power outage during the first session, but everyone stayed to learn and have fun with the activities and conversations.
The RAFI CFL Facilitators were also quick to respond to the unexpected power and connectivity issues, and devised workarounds. As the course title suggests, times are indeed uncertain, but the session went on.

“All I can say is thank you for providing us with great awareness and comprehension within ourselves, and hopefully we can gain more knowledge or learn more during (the next) RAFI CFL sessions,” shared one of the students.

The VLS was also RAFI CFL’s first course of the year. Youth Leading in Uncertain Times aims to equip students with best practices for developing self-direction, self-awareness, and growth mindset, which will help them persevere in challenging situations.
